This article lists the item codes you can use as cheats. You can search for an item here to find its code. As the list includes every item min the game, it's recommended that you finish your first playthrough to avoid spoilers.
How Item Codes Work
Item codes let you start with any item, in quantities of 1, 2, or the item's maximum. This includes shards.
To use an item code, just enter the item ID as your save file name.
To start with two of the item, prefix the item ID with 2. To start with the maximum of the item, prefix the item ID with Max.
Example
By searching the ID list below (with Ctrl + F), we know the item ID for Flying Beef is HaagentiFilet.
If you use the save file names listed below, you'll start a game with 1, 2, and 99 Flying Beef:

Notes
You will hear a special noise if your entered code is successful.
Codes and item IDs are case sensitive.
Most items have a max quantity cap. Read about item caps in this article: Max Item Quantities, or set all caps to 999 with the mod Max Stack Plus.
This mod has no cheat codes for medals (which are earned by beating a boss without taking damage). This is to keep things fair to players who gain their medals legitimately.
Item List
Use this list to find the ID for the item you want to start with. Every item ID is technically a cheat code itself.
