Purchased additional baggage and the flight was canceled due to covid. When they rebooked us they didn’t carry over the extra baggage. They wanted to charge 3x the original ticket price for “added” weight… 6000 bhat for an additional 15kilo (which would of been easily covered by what we originally booked) took nearly 2 hours to work out and they only let us check in minutes before our flight boarded. Very unhappy.

The other person had made a mistake and that the price was 1225 if I want to ship my bag. I had to pay the high price because I had no other way to get my bag to Phuket. Afterwards someone I met told me that the price for the Westerners is always higher but three times the price is outrageous and I will never fly with that airline again."

Also, they required everyone to turn all electronic devices completely off during take-off, ascent, descent, and landing. They wouldn't allow you to use them even in airplane mode for some reason, despite most other airlines worldwide allowing airplane mode throughout the entire flight."

When I booked, I must have put the ticket under Susie instead of Susanne and despite showing her my passport she said I was going to be charged 800 baht to fix my name. It took two separate supervisors for them to realize that the passport number I booked with was in fact the same passport number I was presenting to them. I also wanted to check a piece of luggage and had to go to a different counter, waiting on another line to pay for the luggage. Not one person explained that upon landing in Bangkok for my layover that I would need to take my luggage off of the carousel and then repeat the process I did at the Chiang Mai Airport. It baffles me that they have no organization because prior to getting up to the counter, 4 people were clearly unhappy with the customer service. I would not recommend this airline company to anyone, in fact I would advise that people wouldn’t use it."

Then we we finally arrived at our destination we had to wait for 10 minutes for a second set of busses to arrive. Then once we get into a building we have to walk up a flight of stairs with our suit cases. I was traveling with my 72 year old mother. Not impressed. It's one thing to delay flights it's another to make your passengers go through hoops to get to their destination."

A small bottle of water was provided on the flight. No complaints. I have travelled with regional airlines and discount airlines in other parts of the world and would have to say that the experience with Nok Air was superior."

ข้อเสีย: "There was the least amount of legroom I've ever seen on any other airline, my legs were digging into the seat in front of my when I was sitting perfectly upright. They also didn't serve even water."

ข้อเสีย: "Extremely little leg room. Also they have sneaky charges for luggage weight. Anything over 15kg and they charge you for every extra kilogram. If you want to check in a second luggage you have to check in 4 hours ahead and you still have to pay a lot of money, and it is based on the weight of your luggage . If you don't check in 4 hours in advance and you have an extra suitcase, they charge you by the kilogram and it is ridiculously expensive. More than he cost of the entire flight! And if your flight has multiple legs, you have to pay for the extra luggage every single leg."

ข้อเสีย: "The overall floght was ok with the crew pretty helpful. However coming in to land the plane swayed sideaays seemingly to be off course but probably due to wind shear. Touching down was one of the hardest I ever experienced with all passengers in shock on the force it kanded"

Quick boarding, on time . No hassle glight

ข้อเสีย: "They do not necessarily seat minor children with their parents. Much bigger fight to get them to seat families together, which should be standard practice in the age of COVID. Below average legroom. Much less than in America and elsewhere."

If you book through a major third party agency, you cannot log onto their system to make changes like add baggage. At the airport, they told me the only way to ask them is to come to the airport. How environmentally unfriendly and generally inconvenient. Especially in these days where such online services should be easy."

ข้อเสีย: "My friend and I bought Luang Prabang to Siem Reap tickets with a change in Bangkok. We had both printed our boarding passes and had only carryon bags. They wouldn’t check us in thru to Siem Reap when we were in Luang Prabang, so when we tried to go through transit in Bangkok, the Air Asia agents sent us back to enter Thailand. We had to go through passport control, go up to arrivals and wait in the huge, chaotic lines ( why does AA always have chaotic limes?) and check in again. We then had to go back through immigration and security inspections. Even the immigration and exit officials were questioning why we didn’t go in transit! Took us two hours and lots of extra walking. I only fly Air Asia when I have to, and always think they will have gotten better, but they never do."

Check-infamily with just computers is terrible, didn't worked properly. Included food in package but can't choose, both legs the same food. Baggage damaged. Long walk in DMK to transfer, inefficient. Overall just a shitty experience!"

ข้อเสีย: "I hate that it was impossible to cancel the flight. I tried numerous ways to cancel my flight within 12 hours of making the reservation. I could not find any way to get in touch with the airline to cancel this flight. So, I'm out the $149 airfare."

ข้อเสีย: "I was charged more than $100 for 1 check in bag, 15 kg for international flight from Cambodia to Thailand. If my bag were over 15 kg but less than 20 kg then price would be 50-60% higher. I did not even ask how much I would pay if my single check in bag were over 20 kg. Obviously, if you have any check in bag you pay at least a double price for your flight. Leg space is designed for slim and trim Asians, all others who don't fit this description have problems."

Budget flight but they rip you off for baggage. I would do anything to avoid this airline in the future."

ข้อเสีย: "The website is not so user-friendly with a lot of bugs. I have tried to book an extra luggage via the website but it was impossible. But at the airport i have paid the extra luggage easily (18$ for 20kg) Siem Riep to Bangkok."

ข้อเสีย: "Not wheel chair friendly - I boarded & departed the shuttle bus to the plane & the plane last due to little assistance from Thai AirAsia. The customer service was lacking for those needing additional assistance. Also they charged for everything extra - food, check bags, etc. Tired to sell their merchandise the whole time. Budget/low cost, never again. Thai language was not an issue."

Then once on board they won't even give you water or anything!!! What a joke. Not what we are used to in Canada."

Limited to 7kg carry on, all additional luggage must be checked in and paid for Charged for beverages Charged for food Check in closes 1 HOUR prior to departure. If you try to check in 59 minutes or less prior to your flight, you must change your flight and pay a flight change fee. If you have a connecting flight, in the same country with this airline, they do NOT ticket, or check your bags thru to your 2nd flight. Thus, after your first flight, you must wait for your bags, then check in for your second flight. This will ensure that you miss your connecting flight, unless you have at least 2.5 hours between flights, which may result in an additional charge if you miss your connecting flight. We dealt with 3 agents at 3 different locations prior to our first flight and NONE of them told us that we did not have sufficient times between flights, which resulted in us missing our flight and paying for a flight change. Our flight ended up costing 75% extra. I have flown throughout the world on many different airlines and have NEVER seen an airline with these operating procedures/policies. They need to change the name of this airline to NICKEL AND DIME, or to TIGHTWADS OF THE SKY. Will NEVER fly Air Asia again."
