6.14 Number of university program(s) to improve teaching and learning.

6.14-1

KULAM Exam System //exam.ku.th   Kasetsart University supports the online exam system for students and staff by using Account to login using the system. There is a training program for using the online teaching system with KULearn (Powered by OpenEdX), an online exam system (KULam), and the use of the test room in the form of Walk-in Exam (//registrar.ku.ac.th/oeatrainning ) It is intended for those who have never used the KULearn system and KULam to learn and be able to actually use the system.  And for those who have already used it and want to add other in-depth techniques, as well as exchange learning with teachers who have already used it and have techniques for organizing exams that can be even more effective.  

Preparation for the Online Onsite @ KU Exam

  1. Smartphone + Internet access (from SIM) + Power 
  2. iPad or Tablet + Internet access (from SIM or wifi hotspot) + Power Bank 
  3. Laptop + Internet access (from SIM or wifi hotspot) and the battery must last more than 3 hours.

Procedure: Before the actual exam, Students must take the mock test series provided by each course to ensure that they are listed in the exam, can log in to the system and the devices can actually be used.  If the student does not have any computer equipment that can be used for the Online Onsite @KU exam, Students can take the exam at Office of Computer Services by notifying the course teacher at least 5 business days before the exam.  The KULAM system will capture the screen of the device students are using every 20 seconds.

KU Learn Teaching System: //learn.ku.th is the teaching of the advance study program of Kasetsart University.  This is 100% self-paced online teaching. That is to say, in the course a student is taking, there will be lessons, study materials and tests prepared in advance by the teacher.  Learners can attend and practice on their own anytime, anywhere without having to keep a record of class hours or check class hours like in a classroom setting or online teaching that live instructors (LIVE) conduct teaching through various online meeting room programs. 

To access the teaching system, you can go to the website, //learn.ku.th.  Then log in with the same Google account that you used to register.

Mobile App KU-RU (//www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWBHAdn3Ilw&t=17s ) is an application to publicize news from Office of Education Administration, Kasetsart University and activities necessary for education. The Office of Education Administration will screen the information before reaching the recipients before distributing it according to the correct and clear target groups, both message to people and important announcements thoroughly. There is a classification of announcements from the University or courses, which are all sourced from reliable, cited sources. KU-RU makes news reach a group of classmates in the same subject or announcements to college friends to get the same news.

Kasetsart University Knowledge Repository: KUKR, the digital knowledge repository of Kasetsart University, is certified by CoreTrustSeal from the Netherland. The name of the Kasetsart University Knowledge Repository: KUKR appears on the website of the Kasetsart University Knowledge Repository: KUKR.  CoreTrustSeal in the Certified repository map and has a symbol CoreTrustSeal stamped on the website of the knowledge warehouse.  It is considered a sign that the digital knowledge treasury of Kasetsart University has the potential and quality in managing and providing digital information services in accordance with international standards and on par with the international digital information repository.  It is also 1 of the 4 digital information repositories of the model agency in the project for selecting international standards for managing research results in the digital information repository. 

The digital knowledge repository of Kasetsart University is the first digital information repository of higher education institutions. It has been assessed for credibility by international standards and is certified as a digital information repository that is accurate, complete, transparent, and FAIR Data compliant that supports usability, accessibility, utilization, and capability for long term storage.

Google Drive Google for Education : Kasetsart University, together with Google, provide storage space on Google Drive, Google for Education to open the world of learning through modern technology, Google for Education to support students, teachers and personnel to apply them for the benefit of teaching, learning and working with tools that support a wide range of applications, such as mass storage (Google Drive), electronic mail service (Google Mail), online classroom service (Google Classroom), online form service (Google Form) and web page creation service (Google Site). All services for educational institutions are provided with unlimited usage quota and can still be used upon graduation or retirement.

According to the company, Google has changed its service policy by downgrading Google Drive from unlimited to pooled storage. For continuous usage, the Office of Computer Services provide services to users who wish to transfer or copy data from Google Drive to OneDrive, by providing storage space in OneDrive per account not more than 1 TB, you can choose to perform the following actions: 

  1. Do it manually by software transfer or web browser transfer (mover.io). You can find out how to do this at  //bit.ly/GoogletoOnedrive  (This method can be performed by yourself quickly and easily)   
  2. Operate through the service of the Office of Computer Services, there are 2 methods:

Method 1: Automatic Data Copy Service 

  • Request data copy via the form at //bit.ly/formGtoD
  • The account for which Office of Computer Services will provide automatic data copying must not exceed 1 TB of the required data to be copied. (However, it can copy common files such as pdf, images, videos. Google Doc/Sheet/Slides files can be converted to Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint but cannot copy Google Forms, Google Sites files and some types of files. And after the copying is complete, users have to manually delete data in Google Drive.)

Method 2: Manual copy service 

  • Help Desk staff of the Office of Computer Services provide assistance in data copying. 
  • Users can contact by themselves at the Help Desk room on the 2nd floor of the Office of Computer Services.

e-Saraban: Office of Computer Services, Kasetsart University has developed a new electronic document system that can register for documents, scan documents stored on the system, propose to supervisors, assign tasks to personnel to perform and report performance results within the same.  web system.  Users become more convenient to work and it saves work time, making work more efficient.  It can also search for information quickly as well.

Kasetsart University offers Adobe Creative Cloud software due to the increasing number of Adobe software users to provide more flexibility for users.  The Office of Computer Services therefore informs the borrowing of software licenses as follows: 

  • For reading PDF files and e-Signature to use Adobe Acrobat Reader which can be downloaded for free at //get.adobe.com/reader.
  • For editing PDF files, use Adobe Acrobat Pro DC by registering for the service at the software license borrowing system for a 1-day borrowing period.  
  • For Photoshop, Illustrator, and others, use Adobe Creative Cloud by registering for the service at the software licensing system.  You can choose a borrowing period of 1 day or 7 days.

KURDI DATA API “Application Program Interface” is KURDI’s database connection system for organizations to use the data more usefully, consisting of research council data, teacher workload data, quality assurance data, work history data of the researcher.  It is the data from importing data through the research management database system and the research and creative research database system, Kasetsart University in order to create an efficient data connection, be able to analyze the data and disseminate academic results, the expertise of Kasetsart University personnel  to be known, easier to access information and to connect more researchers.

Teaching and Learning Assessment System (//eassess.ku.ac.th/m/ ) is a system for assessing student satisfaction with programs and universities, which assessment consists of students assess teachers, students assess themselves, teachers assess.  themselves according to the course students enrolled in. Kasetsart University asks for cooperation from students at all levels of education to assess services and learning support in various fields of the Faculty, Campus and University to use as an indicator of quality and a guideline for the development of the University’s service.

The online car service system is a car request system that has a system to send notification messages to relevant parties via Workplace Chat immediately, enabling them to receive news and take action continuously with speed.  The Office of Computer Services, Kasetsart University is the developer of the system and it is actually used today.

Online teaching support system “eduFarm” by Kasetsart University(//edufarm.ku.ac.th ).The system will be able to schedule appointments, exercises, including scoring services for teachers and students.

SOS KPS System: Kasetsart University, Kamphaeng Saen Campus, has established an SOS KPS system to provide services to personnel and students.  In the event of an emergency, a photo can be taken, and the scene can be shared to a QR Code.  The system will send the image and location to the security, medical facility and arrive at the scene in as little as 2– 5 minutes and can be extended by providing online repair service as well.

Application Nisit Ku: Students can use the Application Nisit Ku instead of using the student card to access the library, making it more convenient and easier to use.
