  • Earlier this week, we welcomed Ford’s global president and CEO Jim Farley to Australia. As well as spending time on the race track with our employees, partners and customers, we showed Jim how we’re doing things differently – like working with RMA Automotive to re-manufacture the iconic F-150 to right-hand drive. We also took Jim through our National Parts Distribution Centre and hosted a town hall for our team across the region. A great way to end the year!
  • We welcome Jim Farley, Ford President and CEO, to Australia the best way we know how – a track day with our partners and customers. Special thanks to our partners on and off the track for making the day possible, Geelong Cats, Tickford Racing, Walkinshaw Andretti United, Dick Johnson Racing, Grove Racing, and Blanchard Racing Team.
  • Meet the All-New Transit Custom. The 2024 'International Van of the Year' is on its way to Australia. Renowned for capability, dependability, safety and car-like drive and comfort, Transit Custom is built to get the job done. For more information, head to our website: https://ford.to/487EKip
  • This past weekend, the world marked International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. For us at Ford Australia, the need for the Day was reinforced after a powerful and important session we recently held for our dealer partners and staff, hosted by the Our Watch Institute. In the session, the Our Watch Institute spoke to us about how violence against women is rooted in gender inequality, and so to stop gender-based violence, we need to address that inequality. We learnt that gender inequality starts as early as childhood and that it shows up in all parts of life and society – in our homes, at work, on the sporting field, and beyond (you can watch this helpful video from Our Watch on how this happens). It is a societal issue that requires a holistic response, including a response from workplaces like Ford, which is why we hosted the session. One of the most practical lessons we took away was about being an “active bystander” − people who are proactive at ending the disrespect of women and inequality and, as a result, people who can play a role in ending gender-based violence. The concept of an active bystander really spoke to me as a member of the Ford Australia Men as Advocates and Allies, a chapter of Women of Ford Employee Resource Group, because our group is all about action and doing the work to improve workplace gender equality at Ford. We certainly aren’t there yet but we are committed and taking action to get there. We are very thankful to the Our Watch Institute for this valuable and informative session for our staff and dealers. You can find more resources on the Our Watch Institute website that can help you and your workplace to help end gender inequality and, with it, men’s violence against women. — Andrew Birkic, President and CEO, Ford Australia and New Zealand Sharon Pask Mike McEvoy
